City of Houston
The City of Houston will open 10 multi-service and community centers as warming centers, operating 24 hours a day from Sunday at 6 p.m. through Thursday midday. The warming centers are located at:

YMCA Greater Houston warming centers
YMCA locations will be available to the community as warming centers during updated operating hours. Visitors are welcome to utilize the lobby, charge devices, take classes, visit Child Watch, take a shower, and more. Those interested in visiting a YMCA warming center are asked to present a valid ID upon entering. More information

Fort Bend County warming centers
- Fort Bend County Libraries in Fulshear, Richmond, Mission Bend, and Missouri City, will open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Monday
- All library branches will be open during routine business hours on Tuesday – Saturday.
Montgomery County warming centers
- CK Ray Recreation Center at 1203 Candy Cane Lane in Conroe to open Monday at 7 p.m.
- City Hall in Montgomery will open Monday at noon through Wednesday at noon.
Brazoria County warming centers
- The Salvation Army at 1618 N Ave J Freeport opened at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19. The shelter will remain open 24 hours a day until the weather rises to 41 degrees.
- Believers Sanctuary at 111 E. House St, Alvin opened at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19
- First Presbyterian Church Angleton at 130 S. Arcola Street, Angleton will open Tuesday at 7 a.m. – Wednesday at 7 p.m.
- Doris Williams Lake Jackson Civic Center at 333 TX-332, Lake Jackson, will open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m on Tuesday, Jan. 20
- On Saturday, Manvel Mayor Dan Davis said The Church On MastersRoad is preparing to open up as a warming center for Manvel if the need arises. No other details were given.
Galveston County warming centers
- Salvation Army, 601 51st St. in Galveston open Monday-Wednesday for unhoused people.
- Central Methodist Church, 3308 Avenue O1/2 in Galveston is opening an overnight shelter. People wishing to stay there must check in by 9 p.m.
- Perry Family YMCA at 1700 W. League City Parkway in League City
- Salvation Army, 4801 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway in Texas City
- St. George’s Episcopal Church, 510 13th Ave. North in Texas City
- Santa Fe High School, 16000 Highway 6 in Santa Fe, Tuesday-Wednesday
