Mitchell County Debris Removal Begins Tomorrow! – 10-23-2024

We are pleased to announce that Mitchell County has officially signed the debris removal contract, and pickup will begin tomorrow throughout the county! You will see their logo below on the trucks in the county.

To ensure the process runs smoothly, please separate your debris into the following 5 categories:

Electronics (TVs, computers, etc.)

Large Appliances (Refrigerators, washers, etc.)

Hazardous Waste (Paint, batteries, chemicals)

Vegetative Debris (Tree limbs, brush, leaves)

Construction Debris (Lumber, roofing, drywall)

Where to Place Debris:

All debris must be placed on the public right-of-way. Crews will clear items up to 20-25 feet from the white line on the road.

Important: Please avoid blocking roadways or drainage systems. Mixed debris or improper placement may result in delays or non-collection. They also will not remove household garbage.
